We loved celebrating with Cath and Austin- their historical industrial venue mixed with their laidback personalities ended our 2018 wedding season on a high note!

Rather than scheduling a conventional pre-wedding meeting, we killed two birds with one stone and had a great time chatting and taking engagement photos in the woods at Caesar’s Creek State Park. When we are able, we love having the opportunity to work with our clients before their wedding. It gives us a chance to get to know each other and takes some of the mystery and jitters out of the photo portion of the wedding day!

Now on to the wedding…

Cath and Austin chose to spend the entirety of their big day at their venue- Longworth Hall. This gave us time to explore some of the industrial architecture that the surrounding blocks had to offer.  In the end we came away with some really fun and unique locations that only a few (if any) other couples have in their wedding album, and that alone feels like a win! Thankful that they saw the vision for that area. 🙂

Our time inside was just as enjoyable (and muuuuchh warmer).  The ceremony was packed and joy-filled and we really got a feel for what a loving and supportive community these two have! They served Mexican food (always a bonus), had a drool-worthy dessert table, and had a special toast from Austin’s brother who was serving overseas (check out the family shots below to see how we included said brother in the photos).

It was a wonderful end to my first full year as a Midwest photographer, and an even more wonderful start to a life together for Cath and Austin. So glad that we could be a part of it!
