On a chilly November day, Chris and Kellie had the dreamiest wedding of them all. With 2 grand romantic church venues, vintage details, an energetic wedding party and perfect outdoor light, this wedding checked off all the boxes for a great photo day!

So let’s talk about these venues for just a second because… wow.  Kellie and Chris chose to have their ceremony at the church where they met, St. Monica-St. George, and it is just a STUNNING location. The stained glass and colonnades (and all the other things I’ve forgotten the names of since Art History class) completely transported me back to the cathedrals I visited in Europe, and created a traditional, yet completely unique backdrop for their Catholic ceremony. Combine those details with Kellie’s dramatic veil and vintage crown and the overall effect was so…. old world romantic. (I just made up that style category… is it working?) Fitting in with this same style, they chose the Monastery Event Center as their reception venue! I’d heard great things about this space and was so excited to see it in person.  The whole day we couldn’t keep our jaws off the floor- between these beautiful venues and beautiful people, it was such a treat for us behind the lens.

After the ceremony and before heading to the Monastery Event Center,  Kellie and Chris requested a quick trip to Uncle Woody’s- a favorite bar of theirs.   Turns out it was jam packed for game day… so what could we do other than SQUEEZE on in between a bunch of sweaty fans and snap a few pics with a pitcher of beer? (For the record it was all their idea). 🙂

We then headed to Eden Park for photos and stumbled upon what I’m dubbing as “the most glorious November light you ever did see.” It was freezing and Kellie’s poor bridesmaids may have lost a few toes, but you’d never know it. Ah, it was gorgeous, and I’m still not over it.
(Sidenote: Before getting married and moving to Ohio, my now husband took me to Cincinnati & Eden Park a few times and it was always rainy, overcast, and frankly a little disappointing.  Needless to say, I get the hype now… Cincinnati, I misjudged you…you’re alright!)

Full of genuine smiles and so much love, my hope is that these photos somehow adequately capture the essence of this sweet day.

Have a lovely day-
