{ Josie + Parker | Mirror Lake }
It’s no secret that Mt. Hood is a prime location for engagement sessions in Oregon! All year round this place is gorgeous in it’s own way but it is especially magical when it’s covered in snow.
Josie and Parker reached out knowing that they wanted a snowy engagement session and I’m so glad that we were able to make it happen for them! Government Camp and the Timberline Lodge area can be an absolute ZOO on Saturdays during ski season (iykyk) so finding a place that wasn’t overcrowded was a must. Mirror Lake sits south of Timberline Lodge and while there were still plenty of snowshoers to avoid, it offered a variety of great photo spots requiring almost no hiking!
At the end of our session we decided to explore a blocked off access road and came across a large, open, untouched field of snow! Seriously a gem of a spot that I’ll be keeping on the down-low for the next time we have a session in the area. 😉 Between the sparkly snow, golden light, and those fancy outfits (+ Josie’s Grandma’s mink shawl … so fun!!) it was a really memorable way to end our time together.
These two didn’t need a practice session but will now be even more prepared to crush their wedding photos in November!
Thanks for following along!
