{  Kellie + Jared’s Engagement | Zion National Park  }

When Kellie reached out to see if we were free for a session in one of their favorite places, we were all in! We had been looking for an excuse to take a Southwest road trip and so it worked out perfectly. We started in Albuquerque to see some friends and then drove up around the Grand Canyon, and to Zion the next day.

What an INCREDIBLE place. We spent most of our time in Zion with Kellie and Jared on the “Canyon Overlook Trail” – the perfect light hike for photos, with the most breathtaking view at the end.  We hiked about halfway in and out a few times so that they could change clothes, and then booked it all the way to the final viewpoint to catch the sun going down.  My only regret is that we didn’t get to stay for longer!  Zion National Park is still on my to-do list as we really only scratched the surface.

Kellie and I have joked that we made each other’s dreams come true with this photo session! I have a little more location envy toward those local photographers that have these landscapes at their disposal regularly. I’d go back in a heartbeat.
